HAPPY ALMOST OCTOBER
October is one of my favorite months of the year. It has everything: Halloween, the leaves changing color, apple cider. And it's a great month to ride into battle with your sword drawn and feel your foes crushed beneath the hooves of your steed.
That's right, today we're releasing... The Spur!
The Spur commands a militia of rough and ready fighters. She can lead them at the behest of a lord, serving as commander of the guard, or she can be an independent mercenary or bandit. Either way, cross her and you'll face the wrath of her and her whole crew.

Good evening, all!
We've been hard at work getting SCUP edited and art designed and laid out and playtested. Jenn just ran a weekend long game of SCUP at Minnloco and I ran a great game of it at Gencon, both of which you'll hear about in upcoming episodes of The Jank Cast.
In the meantime, though, we're going to start releasing the completed character sheets for the various classes starting with THE HEX.
The Hex is a witch or sorcerer who uses her ability to tap into The Unspeakable Power to strike deals and manipulate others. Each week, from here on out, we'll release a new character sheet for you to check out. Enjoy!
Keep an eye out for the next class in about a week!

Quick SCUPdate!
The game is currently being all laid out and stuff, so things are progressing nicely.
I did want to let folks know that I will be at Gencon next week, running at Games on Demand. I will be running a session of SCUP at some point, so feel free to come by and say hi and, if you want to, try to get into the SCUP game I'll be running.

A Good Summer To All!
Hi folks! I just moved back to my home state of Illinois after a four year absence and I'm happy to be back near my friends at Wheel Tree and the Jank Cast. But you want to know what's up with SCUP, right? So what's up is this: things are clicking along. The art is progressing, the chapters are mostly edited and are being reviewed before we start the layout, we've got our Backerkit surveys just about ready to send out, and we're pretty happy with how things are going.
As such, we thought we'd share a playbook that wasn't released with the backer set to everyone to enjoy...
BEHOLD, THE BELOVED
The Beloved is a character class near and dear to my heart. They are a cult leader, a prophet, and a figure of divine power and inspiration. They hear the voice of The Unspeakable Power inside of them and are compelled to make its glory known in the world.
They also have one of my favorite moves we've written for the game, one that has inspired a few jaw dropping moments during playtests. I'll let you guess which one it is.
And, if you're looking for some inspiration for your Beloved, it just so happens that one of my favorite fantasy-themed power metal bands, Unleash the Archers, just put out a ridiculously good new album and the first video is very Beloved-approved.

SCUPDATE! THE CAMPAIGN IS DONE!
From the bottom of our blackened, treacherous hearts, thank you to all of you who backed The Sword, The Crown, and The Unspeakable Power. As of today, the Kickstarter campaign is officially done and with 709 backers, we raised $20,359. That means we hit all our stretch goals! We could not be more humbled, excited, and grateful.
We will be using Backerkit to fulfill the game, so expect to hear from us in the next couple of weeks to start gathering your information. Going forward, we'll do our best to keep you posted on how everything is shaking out as best as we can. Currently, we are in the process of getting the book text and character sheets edited so that we can begin releasing parts of the book for people to read. In the coming weeks, we will start to roll out things from the game, including the mythology creation exercise and the full playbooks. We will also keep you posted on the art, extras, etc., as they develop.
So look for communication from us soon about the process of the game and, once again, thank you so much for helping to make this little game that we've poured our souls into something we can all enjoy.
